We just came back from Yunnan. Would we recommend travel with Yunnan Minority Travel. Certainly, yes.
There were many surprises along the way. We came with certain ideas about Yunnan and the people, and were pleasantly surprised that many of them were wrong. We came to see for ourselves. Even in 16 days, it was more than we could see and fully understand. It took us a couple of weeks after we returned home in Beijing to really appreciate and understand all we had seen. At some future time, we would like to return to Yuunan again. Thanks, Sunny and Gerard.

We travelled in December 2020. Sunny helped us to make the plan for our almost 3 weeks of travel. She gave us many helpful tips concerning hotels, places etc. Among other things, we visited with her a small village far up in the mountains of Weishan. It was great. Sunny quickly gets into contact with the locals, which allowed us a different insight how the people live. Her knowledge about minorities is impressing. She took us to a local market to buy and try things, answered all our questions (and we had a lot :)) and gave us a really great insight to the life of minorities.. We travelled with “006”, her driver of confidence. Sunny was in contact with us and 006 all the time. We enjoyed this trip very much and can strongly recommend Sunny for any individual tour in Yunnan. You can feel she loves what she does. Sunny and Gerard, we wish you all the best.

We would say "thank you Sunny" that just seems not to be enough. You offered us the holiday of our life .... never to be forgotten! Please give us the honour to consider you as our friend, that would really make us happy after all this days we traveled with you in your beautiful province Yunnan, the stay in your comfortable B&B and in your life!

I would like to share our experience traveling with Sunny in China. My wife and I are big travelers and visit different countries around the world at least once or twice a year. In our travels we have encountered many different guides. Sunny is one of the best guides that we have ever used!! We loved her knowledge of the country, understanding our needs, what we wanted to see and where we wanted to visit. Her English was pretty good (we had no problems communicating), personality excellent and flexibility is outstanding! If you tell her what you want to see in the evening you will get it the next day.
I highly recommend Sunny as a tour guide if you're planning to visit China. I promise you won't be disappointed!!

We, together with our friends, were very lucky to discover Sunny as our guide in Yunnan province. Before the trip took place, Sunny was very helpful in arranging the program. She was diligently and patiently replying to all our e-mails, adapting the programme to our wishes, explaining the details. As a result we had a very interesting and enlightening program. We visited lots of interesting places: temples, nature reserves, authentic minority villages and lots more. Sunny introduced us to local minorities and authentic food, which was extremely delicious. She had no time to rest at all. The driver that she has been working with for years was extremely helpful.
We had a very great time in Yunnan province and we are very grateful to Sunny for that. Would love to come back. In the meantime we recommend Sunny as your guide in Yunnan province.
